Financial Aid for Veterans and Military Students
Pursue a degree at Hamline using your military benefits
Veterans and military students are an important part of Hamline's community, and we’re here to provide you and your family with additional guidance as you pursue higher education. That's why Hamline is ranked as the #1 "Best School for Veterans" among regional universities in Minnesota and 2nd in the Midwest by US News & World Report.
In collaboration with the federal government and the state of Minnesota, we’re able to give eligible applicants access to financial aid to make college even more affordable. Whether you’re a veteran or service member, a spouse, or a dependent, we’ll help you discover all your college financial aid options. Visit our Military Student Resource Center for more information on how we can support your educational goals.
Have you already applied for benefits through the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)?
If you’ve completed an application for one of the VA educational benefits listed below, you’ll need Hamline to certify your enrollment. Visit our Military Student Resource Center for more detailed steps on that process.
Interested in additional federal aid?
If you’re interested in receiving additional federal aid, you’ll need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Learn how to apply for the FAFSA and see what steps you need to take.
